The Talking Forest

Wondering what to see at the Totnes Festival? Well, you won’t want to miss the world premiere of The Talking Forest movie. And better yet the screening will support St Mary’s Church Project.

The Talking Forest movie premier will take place on August 16th at 5PM at St John’s.

The one-off puppetry spectacular focuses on climate change and it is not only written by local children, but they have also created, narrated, and animated the puppets as well.

Tony Gee will introduce the movie and afterwards will offer the audience a chance to make their own fish puppet, to fill the oceans with their feelings about the ocean.

Totnes Heritage Trust Secretary Lynne Birch has previewed the film and said the Talking Forrest was very impressive.

"It was highly entertaining and well worth the watch," she said.

Money from the tickets the will go towards the Save St Mary's Project.

The trust aims to raise £60,000 locally and has so far raised an incredible £35,000.

Tickets are £4 for Adults and £2 for children.
